Carols by Candlelight tonight
RESIDENTS are being reminded the Camperdown Theatre Company’s annual Carols by Candlelight event is happening tonight (Friday, December 12).
Over 60 local performers will fill the Theatre Royal with festive spirit, with a variety of traditional Christmas carols and more contemporary songs on the setlist.
Performers include Demby McKenzie, Matt Baker, Ellie Read, Toby McKenzie, Rachel Hall, Louise Rothman, Andrea Weel, Lucy Keough, Luke Hopkinson, Eileen McKenzie, Helen Sarandis, Madidi McKenzie, Nikki McKenzie and the Community House Choir.
A special visitor is also slated for the night, performing a dance alongside dancers from Jammin’ Studio.
Carols organiser Toby McKenzie said he was looking forward to celebrating with the community.
“As always, everyone is welcome, and the event is free to attend,” he said.
“We encourage everyone to join in and enjoy the atmosphere.
“Donations of cash or non-perishable food will be gratefully accepted in the foyer for the Corangamite Food Bank, which will be used to help local families in need this Christmas.”
Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, with battery candles and glowsticks available for $2 and $1 respectively.
