Close results in club championships
A FIELD of 40 men and women entered the final round of the club championships at Camperdown Golf Club late last month.
While the weather conditions were a little ordinary, the course was once again in great condition.
At the conclusion of play, members enjoyed a barbecue before presentations were made.
In the men’s championship, Simon Baker finished on 307 to win A grade, with Liam Lafferty the runner-up on 312.
B grade was won by Jake Clissold on 341 followed by runner-up Dale Evans 342.
Jimmy Cheeseman finished on 134 stableford points to win C grade from Gary Lafferty and Hayden Menzel, both on 127.
The Talindert Cup for best single round went to Simon Baker on 74 while the Jack Hay Trophy (best nett score over four rounds) was won by Isaac Stephens on 296.
In the ladies’ championship, A grade was won by Ros Brauer and B grade went to Deb Narik.
