Cyclists smash personal best times
CAMPERDOWN cyclists enjoyed perfect weather conditions last week and several personal best times were recorded.

Five personal bests were smashed at the finish line for race 18 of the junior’s summer season.
While it is amazing to be a winner on the line after a race, the club fosters celebrating personal best times each week as this supports and encouragers riders to push themselves.
All riders are given their personal best time on a small, shiny card and are encouraged to place that card where they can see it.
The winner once again this week was Eleanor with a PB of 17.20, followed by Finny 13.58 and Bede 13.00.
Other rider times were Archie 14.22, Nathaniel 09.54, Henry 11.34, Rieley, Quinn 9.43, Taj 11.17, Lawson 11.51, Bentley 10.22, Ava 10.56 and Josh 9.21 (fastest).

With a light south westerly and in pleasant conditions, Quinn Clark rode off solo.
On two minutes, 30 seconds Matt Gstrein left the saleyards in a northerly direction, with Finn Baxter following 30 seconds behind.
When the clock reached four minutes and 45 seconds, Josh Thompson decided it was time to head for Chocolyn.
At five minutes 30 Oliver Clark started chasing, with Todd Baxter leaving on six minutes 30 seconds - completing perhaps the most antisocial start, Shaun Thompson rode solo at seven minutes.
Though the gap between Shaun and Todd alternated, Oliver and Josh were gradually reeled in.
Todd, Josh and Oliver came together shortly after the Chocolyn turn and then worked hard, with Finn and Matt in their sights.
The trio caught Finn and Matt halfway along the mad mile and then spotted Quinn in the distance.
Quinn held on to take the win in a time of 30 minutes 18 seconds.
He was followed by Todd 24.15, Matt 28.17, Oliver 25.17, Finn 27.49 and Josh 26.07.
Shaun was awarded the coveted wooden spoon – but the backmarkers revenge will soon come.
