Dowling Shield awaits Reynolds
POMBORNEIT leg-spinner Josh Reynolds has earnt selection in the Geelong Cricket Club 14 player under 16 squad for the Dowling Shield competition to be held in January.

Reynolds has been training indoors in Geelong (at the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre, Kardinia Park) on Monday nights for the past 11 weeks, with a trail game at East Belmont Sunday week ago.
Reynolds is thrilled with his selection.
“It’s a really good opportunity, it’s been great to work with different coaches who have different perspectives,” he said.
“I’ve really enjoyed training with really good players who have come from a wide area.”
The Dowling Shield competition, to be played over the first two weeks in January, will see Geelong play seven games plus potential finals.
As well as games in Geelong, the team will play matches at Footscray, Doncaster and Windy Hill in Essendon.
Reynolds is waiting for news of further training and practice match dates, but is also looking forward to a busy schedule of matches with Pomborneit.
As well as playing in the Bulls’ under 17 and under 16 teams, Reynolds will push for selection in the club’s division one team.
“I’ve enjoyed the bit of division one cricket I’ve played so far so I’m hoping to get a run there, if not playing division two is a good challenge and a good group to play with.”
