Tara Elliott led the Power to a big win on Saturday, shooting 107 for the day.

Elliott shot a remarkable 107 goals in the Power’s 118-19 win in the round 14 Warrnambool and District A grade netball match.

The first time the teams met back in round five, Elliott scored 86 goals.

“The goal was to get her to 100,” Power coach Lillie Bourke said.

“Percentage is going to be crucial for us so we needed to score as much as possible.

“The ball was fed well into her, she was really strong and shot some great goals.”

While thrilled for Elliott to hit the rare air of 100 goals, Bourke said the Kolora-Noorat team was respectful of its opponents when celebrating the milestone.

“We had a little bit of a roar go up when Tara hit 100 but we tried not to make too much of a scene, with Dennington in the situation they are in.

“But Dennington has definitely improved since the first time we met them this season, which is good to see.”

Apart from Elliott, Molly Bourke and May Suhan were best for the Power.

“Molly played a great game in mid-court, she started in defence then swung to wing attack where she fed Tara really well.

“May was great as keeper, she was strong, had rebounds and was really good.”

This week the sixth-placed Kolora-Noorat play fifth-placed Russells Creek in a huge game for the Power.

Kolora-Noorat sits four points behind Creek but with a far superior percentage.

“Russells Creek are always tough to beat.

“It doesn’t matter where they sit on the ladder, they’re always a competitive team, and they’ll be as hungry as us to win as well.”

The A reserve game saw Kolora-Noorat score a 47-20 win.

Best for the Power were Nicole O’Shannessy, Sophie Lehmann and Matilda Curran with Curran scoring 20 goals and Grace Lee 18.

In the B grade netball, Kolora-Noorat scored a 46-27 win.

Kolora-Noorat’s best were Meg Pekin, Alexis Ameduri and Cassie Hoey, with Alexandra Smith shooting 24 goals.

The 17 and under netball saw the Power win 33-27.
