Elves to hide again this Saturday
RESIDENTS who missed out on last weekend’s elf hunt will get another chance to find them this Saturday as the event returns.
Organiser Michelle Elijah said there were still people who entered last weekend yet to return their entry forms, with over 100 people taking part on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Friday, Saturday and Sunday were great,” she said.
“Friday was amazing – the weather was great. Thanks to everyone who came down and enjoyed the extended business trading.
“Saturday the weather was pretty terrible, but we still had a few come out to visit Santa which was good.
“Sunday was wonderful to finish the event, but the elf hunt is happening again this Saturday.
“The mailbox worked well.”
Ms Elijah said she was pleased to see the extension happening, with local shopping vouchers still up for grabs for this weekend’s hunt.
“It just meant more stores were interested,” she said.
“It was great to be able to create a Christmas atmosphere.”
