Gillin wins club championship
ALISTAIR Gillin has won the club championship at the Timboon Golf Club.
Members played stroke last Saturday for the fourth and final round of the championship.
Gillin won the event after a play-off with Wes Hollick – both players carded +18 over the four rounds.
Scores on the final day:
A grade (0-8) Alistair Gillin 75, Phillip Brown 77, Peter Cashmore 78, Wes Hollick 80 and Neil Gowland 82.
B grade (9-14) Steven Crees 83, Darren Smith 84, Rodney Edge 86, Chris Harkness 86 and Jack Rowe 87.
C grade (15-20) Tori Ziegelaar 90, Mark McKenzie 91, Shaun McKenzie 92 and John Bertram 92.
D grade (21-36) Gordon Broderick 94, Rhys Ziegelaar 99, Franny Togni 102 and Percy Gillin 104.
Nearest the pins: 5th John Bertram, 7th Mark McKenzie, 10th Alistair Gillin and 14th Mark McKenzie.
The second shot ball on the 11th was won by Peter Cashmore and on the 13th Franny Toni.

Thursday’s Railway View Chicken Day was won by Mark Tribe with 25 points from Gordon Broderick.
