Camperdown Police Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Revell said police were called to the incident at around 10.50am on Friday, October 11 just east of the township on the intersection of the Princes Highway and Wire Lane.

He said a white four-wheel drive travelling east on the highway collided with a grey sedan travelling south on Wire Lane.

“As a result of the incident, the occupant of one of the vehicles sustained an injury and required treatment at hospital – it wasn’t life-threatening or serious,” Act Snr Sgt Revell said.

“Police are making enquiries into the cause of the accident, and anyone with dashcam footage or are a witness to the event can contact Crimestoppers (1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppersvic.com.au) or the Camperdown Police Station (5593 1000).

“It’s a prime opportunity to remind everyone to be cautious on the roads and to be aware of their surroundings.

“Police are out and about, so please take care on our roads.”
