Mixed results for bowlers
MORTLAKE bowlers finished their day on the greens with mixed results last Saturday for round eight of weekend pennant.
Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) lost to Portland Memorial 1 Makos 49-56 (away).
D Grant def. M Sloper 23-17, G Draffen lost to P Cameron 11-24 and L Johnson drew N Seekamp 15 all.
Mortlake 2 White (div. 2) lost to Timboon 2 Demons 51-57 (away).
C Baxter lost to G Bedggood 14-16, R Draffen lost to J Trigg 15-24 and P Delaney def. W Berry 22-17
Mortlake 4 Gold (div. 4) lost to Port Fairy 4 Green 37-42 (away).
M Heard lost to S Lenehan 19-20 and D Murray lost to J Blackmore 18-22.

Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) defeated Port Fairy 1 Gold 62-44 (home).
C Goldsworthy lost to I woods 9-23, Les Johnson def. S Cullinane 14-13 and D McNicoll def. N Lowe 39-8.
Mortlake 2 Purple (div. 4) lost to Terang 3 White 42-44 (home).
L O’Shannessy lost to A Taylor 20-26 and D Robertson def. C Pearson 22-18.
Midweek pennant selections for round 10:

Last Tuesday also saw over 60s social pennant round seven.
Mortlake White was given a forfeit over Timboon 1.

P Delaney def. C Gardner 28-14 and M Heard lost to F Brown 18-24.
The club is currently running its Christmas hamper raffle - $2 a ticket of 3 for $5 and you could be the lucky winner of a Christmas hamper.
Go along either Tuesday or Saturday to get your tickets from the clubrooms or find one of the members to get those winning tickets.
Feel free to also drop off some hamper items if tickets aren’t your thing – every bit helps.
This will be drawn on Saturday, December 20 and winners will be notified.
Just a reminder that after weekend pennant on Saturday, December 20 there will be a Christmas breakup dinner with members to bring a salad and $5 per person.
