Mixed results for Mortlake bowlers
ROUND seven of weekend pennant saw mixed results for Mortlake bowlers.
Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) defeated Warrnambool 2 Blue 73-39 (home).
D Grant def. J Woolley 21-14, G Draffen def. R Hill 28-14 and L Johnson def. J Klein 24-11.
At the half way point, Mortlake 1 Blue is currently fourth, one point behind third-placed Portland Memorial and five points behind second-placed Warrnambool 1 Gold.
Mortlake 2 White (div. 2) lost to Terang 2 Red 57-58 (home).
C Baxter lost to N Uebergang 19-22, R Draffen def. M Moulden 22-18 and P Delaney lost to D Morrison 16-18.
Mortlake 4 Gold (div. 4) defeated City 1 Black 47-36 (away).
F Robertson lost to M Trompf 14-21 and M Heard def. R McNulty 33-15.
At the half way point, Mortlake 3 Gold is currently fourth, two points behind third-placed City 10 Black and six points behind second-placed Dunkeld 2 White.

Last Tuesday saw round eight of midweek pennant.
Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) defeated City 1 Diamonds 57-54 (away).
G Draffen lost to B Sheehan 14-22, Les Johnson def. G Ritchie 21-13 and D McNicoll def. Leigh Johnson 22-19.
Mortlake 2 Purple (div. 4) drew with Timboon 4 Demons 42 all (away).
L O’Shannessy lost to A O’Donnell 21-22 and G MacDonald def. I Cashmore 22-21.
Midweek pennant selections for round nine:
Mortlake 1 Blue (div. 1) at home to Port Fairy 1 Gold - the side has not been chosen at the time of printing.
Mortlake 2 Purple (div. 4) at home to Terang 3 White.

Last Tuesday also saw Over 60s social pennant round seven played.
Mortlake White defeated Timboon 2 45-31 (home).
D Murray def. N Robb 24-13 and M Heard def. K Brown 21-18.
Mortlake Blue was given a forfeit over Timboon 1.
In the first round of the men’s B grade last Sunday, C Inverarity awaits the winner of N Boyden v T Delaney.
S Reynolds lost to D McKenzie and J Springall lost to R Draffen.
A Mirtschin lost to Alan Wood and D Dolling def. B Killey.
J Rasmussen lost to S Pierce and K Johnson def. Anthony Wood.
The quarter and semi-finals are due to be played this Sunday, December 7.
The Christmas hamper raffle is now on - $2 a ticket of 3 for $5 and you could be the lucky winner.
To enter the draw simply call in at the bowls club on either Tuesday or Saturday to get your tickets.
Member are also welcome to drop off some hamper items if tickets aren’t your thing – every bit helps.
The raffle will be drawn on Saturday, December 20 and winners will be notified.
