Secure your packages

RESIDENTS who have been shopping online are being urged to ensure their packages are safe after police received a report of theft of packages from a doorstep.

Camperdown Police Acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Revell said the report came from someone who regularly gets their packages dropped at their home address when they’re not home and urged caution.

“If you can’t ensure your package, when delivered to your address, is secure and out of the way of thoroughfare, consider getting it delivered to the post office for pick up,” he said.

Packages which are too large for the letterbox can also become a target if left in the open.
