Storm too strong for Tigers
SIMPSON had a 76 run loss to Heytesbury-Princetown in the round nine Colac-South West premier cricket division match on Saturday.

The Storm batted first and made 8/260 at Timboon Recreation Reserve.
Tom Weel was the best of the Tigers bowlers, taking 3/36 from 10 overs, with new ball bowler Nick Harding taking 3/56 from 10.
In reply, Simpson was bowled out for 184 in the 47th over.
Englishman Ben Smith top scored with 49 from 54 balls, hitting six boundaries.
Veteran Phil Vines batted well for 45 from 60 balls, with ChathuraWadu making 21, Tanner Fratantaro 19 and skipper Jackson Rock unbeaten on 23 at the end.
The Tigers go into the Christmas break in 13th position on the ladder, and will play their next game on January 17.
Simpson had a 93 run loss to Irrewarra at Simpson on Saturday in the round eight Colac District Cricket Association division two match on Saturday.
The visitors batted first, making 8/192 from their 40 overs.
Shaun Baines, Zach Anderson and Liam Ackerly took two wickets each for the Tigers.
In reply the home team was all out in the 30th over for 99.
Opener Joe Cain top scored with 29 from 34 balls, with Bodhi Crole making 17.
Simpson goes into the Christmas break in sixth position on the ladder, and will return to action on January 17.

In division three, Simpson had a two wicket loss to West Warrion at Colac’s Western Reserve.
Batting first, the division three Tigers made 6/183 from their 40 overs.
Roshan Sidhu top scored with 50 from 47 balls, hitting eight boundaries, with veteran opener Adrian Fratantaro making 27 from 34 balls.
After being 4/25, West Warrion powered onto 8/214 in reply.
Olinto Ferrari and Xander Weel did the early damage with two wickets each, with Fin Mahoney taking two late wickets.
The division three Tigers, currently ninth on the ladder, will also return to action on January 17.
In the under 14s on Friday night, Simpson had a 59 run loss to Colac at Simpson.
Batting first, Colac made 6/110 from its 30 overs.
Olinto Ferrari, Archer Crole, Fin Mahoney, Ted Mahoney and Conor Smith took a wicket each for the junior Tigers.
In reply, Simpson was all out for 51 in 22.4 overs, Archer Crole top scoring with 12.
The next game for the Simpson under 14s will be on January 30.
