Strong win by young Bulls
POMBORNEIT’S under 17 boys had a strong win on Tuesday night, defeating City United by 167 runs at Pomborneit.

The visitors batted first and were dismissed for 64 on the last ball of their 30 overs.
Max Rees took a wicket with the first ball of the match and finished with 2/4 from four overs, with captain and fellow new ball bowler Levi Cootesmith taking 2/5 from four.
Five other players took a single wicket in an even bowling performance.
In reply, Pomborneit scored 3/231 from its 30 overs.
Fletcher Tolland top scored with 50 from 29 balls before retiring, hitting three fours and three sixes.
George Sadler and Levi Cootesmith, after retiring earlier in the innings, came back at the end to finish on 33 not out and 23 not out respectively.
Others to do well were Jonty Raven with 21 retired, Max Rees with 20 retired and Dermot Conheady with 15 retired.
This Tuesday the under 17 Bulls play Irrewarra Black at Colac Secondary College Oval.
In the under 17 girls on Friday night, Pomborneit had a 55 run loss to Irrewarra Red at the Colac Central Reserve Hockey Ground.
Batting first, Pomborneit was all out for 56 in the 17th over.
Isla Spokes top scored with 14 from eight balls before being one of four top order players run out.
In reply Irrewarra Red made 3/111.
Marissa Whitehead and Tylarah Ganim took a wicket each for Pomborneit.

Tonight the under 17 girls play Tomahawk Creek at Irrewillipe.
The under 16 boys had their match against Cobden washed out on Sunday and was being replayed as a Twenty20 game last night at South Purrumbete as this edition went to print.
On Sunday the under 16s will host Bookaar at Pomborneit.
In the under 14s on Friday night, Pomborneit had a win in a tight run chase against City United Gold at Pomborneit.
The visitors batted first, making 4/133 from 30 overs.
Crawford Dunn led the bowlers with 2/5 from two overs, with Noah Boyd and Jamie Gardiner taking a wicket each.
Bailey Fox led the reply with an explosive 52 from 24 balls, hitting seven fours and two sixes.
Crawford Dunn and Jamie Gardiner did a great job in getting the team over the line, Dunn making 28 not out from 31 balls and Gardiner 14 not out from 41 as the junior Bulls finished on 8/146 from their 30 overs.
Tonight the under 14 Bulls play Irrewarra Black at Pomborneit.
Pomborneit’s under 13 girls had their match washed out on Sunday, while the under 13 boys had the bye on Monday night.
This week Pomborneit’s under 13 girls play Irrewarra at South Purrumbete on Sunday, while the under 13 boys play Ecklin at Ecklin on Monday night.
