Top scores for Tech
FINAL scores for Year 12 VCE students have been released and the top students from across the district are celebrating months of hard work and dedication.
The dux from Cobden Technical School, Phoebe Harris, is looking forward to a bright future ahead after being announced as the top student at her school.
She studied English, General Maths, Food Studies, Indonesian and completed Psychology last year.
“In the lead up to the results being released I was overthinking it, to see if I could get the scores I needed,” Phoebe said.
“I was really nervous to see if I got a mark that I wanted.”
Phoebe said next year she’s hoping to get into university at Warrnambool Deakin for primary school teaching, which hasn’t always been her goal.
“A few years ago, I wanted to do something to do with science, but since I’ve been working at the golf club in Cobden I’ve been around kids more and I’ve really liked hanging out with kids,” she said.
She also had some advice to pass onto students going into Year 12 next year.
“The year goes quick, so each week plan out your free time, your study time and have fun rather than stressing over your scores,” Phoebe said.
