The squad had already won its first two games in the opening week but round two saw the team hit a running stride with a 17-point win over Hamilton Hurricanes and a 22-point win over Ararat Redbacks.

On Saturday the Hurricanes travelled to the Terang and District Indoor Sport and Recreation Centre looking for revenge following the Tornadoes victory the week prior.

From the opening tip-off it was clear Terang was finding confidence and rhythm as the side raced out to a 26-16 lead.

Hamilton was able to keep pace in the second quarter as the home side could not extend the lead beyond 10.

The Hurricanes managed to claw back a point in the third to head into the final quarter down just nine, but Terang cruised to a +8-point differential in the fourth to protect home court.

Ryley Hutchins led the way on the scoreboard with an impressive 31-point performance, while Cory Jones dropped 17-points and Jack Fowler tallied 10.

On Sunday the Tornadoes hit the road to take on the Redbacks at the Ararat Fitness and Leisure Centre.

While the sides were able to keep it close in the first quarter, with Terang taking a slight 23-21 lead, the second quarter saw the Tornadoes run out 25-9 to carry a 48-30 lead into the half.

The scoreline only further increased in the third, with Terang adding five to the already sizable lead to eventually claim an impressive 82-60 victory.

Cory Jones led the scoring with 21 while Jack Fowler added 15, Ryley Hutchins dropped 12 and Jake Bartlett tallied 10.

Next week Terang will hit the road to take on the Mount Gambier Lakers before the week four bye.
