Tough start to final round
THE Noorat Terang Lions failed to fire with the bat against top side Allansford-Panmure on day one of the round 13 Warrnambool Moyne and District Cricket Association premier division one match at Terang.

Only its experienced players showed any resilience; good shot selection and application when batting.
Luke Kenna, batting at number 10, top scored with 28 from 67 balls, finishing his innings with a runner after doing a hamstring.
He and Tim Keane, who scored 21 from 71 balls, added 44 for the ninth wicket.
Co-captain Tim Delaney ended on 11 not out.
Earlier, opener Bailey Kavenagh weathered an impressive bowling attack for 63 balls to reach 12.
The Lions were dismissed in the 51st over for 110.
Allansford-Panmure had 26 overs to face and reached stumps at 1/83 with Tyson Hay the wicket taker.
Noorat Terang had the bye in division two, and will play North Warrnambool at Bushfield in this week’s final round.
The Lions division four team won its match, making hard work of the victory.
Playing at Wangoom, the home side batted first and was dismissed for 74 in the 35th over.
All bowlers featured in the wickets with slow bowler Dean Abbott taking 3/12.
Medium pacers Andrew Battistello, with 2/10 and Jesse Unthank with 2/17 were the other multiple wicket takers while Sam Munro, Caleb Bamford and Sam Lillico were the others to take a wicket.
With the bat, there were two collapses that nearly cost the side victory.
At the top of the innings they lost three for one to be 3/20.
Toby Roberts with 14 and Dean Abbott got the team to 49.
With the score on 67, Abbott went for 27 and this caused a collapse of three wickets for three runs with the score being 7/70.
Henry Roberts’ boundary secured victory and has kept the side in the four with one match to go against the Northern Raiders at Purnim this weekend.
